Karin Satter

Biography

In 1989 I graduated at the Erasmus University Rotterdam with a master in Business Administration.
After working for an advertising agency, a consultant agency, and as freelance marketing researcher, I started teaching at the HRO (former HES Rotterdam). In between I travelled extensively. My fields of interest are Cross Cultural Management, Marketing Research, Philosophy, and Interactive Teaching.

Guest lecture/workshop

Intercultural communication.

Exercises and role play to experience communication problems in an intercultural context. Effective communication can already be difficult amongst members with the same background; with participants from different cultures misunderstandings are inevitable. The training focuses on verbal and non-verbal communication to create awareness of miscommunication aspects.
