Guest lecture/workshop
Workshop ‘Building bridges’: cross cultural management, alliance capabilities and social capital.
Why do some firms have more social capital than others? Building on the insights of the cross cultural literature at firm level, we analyse the cultural and social capital as building on the network resources of an organisation.
The main objective is that firms are aware that building by awareness of the importance of the cultural dimensions can maintain and sustain the productively. Using data from 127 Dutch SME's we can learn from their internal characteristics in particular organisational culture.
The alliance capabilities of a firm are correlated with a number of organisational culture, and alliance capabilities in turn can affect the degree to which a firm profits from its social capital.
